| About the MITI Master It & Take It Initiative . . . |

New Hampshire educators are amazingly creative at using the teaching resources available to them and
we have always highlighted these creative teaching and learning strategies in our McAuliffe Stars
sessions. NHSTE leadership also understands that to embrace new teaching and learning resources,
educators need opportunities to explore and master these resources. The MITI - Master It & Take It -
hands-on workshops are designed to provide educators with both the exposure and training necessary to
investigate the potential of a variety of learning devices. This year the cost of the four MITI workshops
includes an Apple iPad.

| What are my choices and what is the cost? |

All of the 2012 MITI workshops are scheduled on Monday. Three of the Monday MITI workshops are fullday,
6 hour, institutes with plenty of time to learn how and when to use YOUR new device. Each session
is unique, so read the descriptions and choose carefully. The Monday evening workshop is 3 hours long.
The Monday full-day institutes do NOT include lunch. An hour lunch break is provided for heading out to a local restaurant or eating a "bring in" bag lunch. Each MITI workshop fee includes an Apple iPad with WIFI only capacity. NHSTE will purchase the best model and brand recommended for instructional use by technology coordinators and highly rated by consumer groups. A volume purchase will take place in mid-November to garner the best value available for the advertised workshop fee. REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR MITI WORKSHOPS: November 7, 2012.
