Come join us for a cutting edge experience that the 2012 Horizon Report has identified as the future of education. Game-based learning design through quest-based learning has shown dramatic improvements in student engagement, enjoyment, and academic success. Participants in this session will play and build educational quests in 3D Gamelab, a game-based learning management system. Participants will earn, use, and build digital badges, achievements, and awards utilizing the Mozilla OBI badge architecture. Participants will learn about the benefits of game based education, the theory and research behind it, while experiencing game based PD first hand.
