Picture the last time you doodled on your notebook paper. We bet you were in a class, at a workshop/conference, or at a staff meeting. Whether you realize it or not that doodling was helping to keep you focused and even helping you remember what you were learning about. Consider your students . . . what are they doing during your lessons? Are you ready to change the way you and your students take notes? How about the way you and your students present information? Are you not sure how or where to start? If so, this session is for you! In this hands on learning experience, work on sketching and creating your visual vocabulary while also exploring how to use sketchnoting in your classroom with students. Explore various tools to sketch and think of ways to digitally organize sketches. How are you working creative thinking or design thinking into your instruction? Have you considered sketchnoting? Sketchnoting is a tool that we can use with students to inspire creative thinking and help them work toward creative new, innovative products. During this session, you will begin sketching and check out student work that has increased collaboration and creativity. We will also work in some time to reflect on some of the ideas learned during the day!
