Join Heidi, librarian and tech integrator, as you spend the morning creating a creature out of recyclable materials and then bring it to life using a Hummingbird Robotics Kit. Learn how to utilize a drag and drop block program to add sound, lights, and motion to your creations. During the afternoon, discover how the presenter used these kits for a collaborative project with third grade classroom teachers and the art teacher in her Sunapee school. The afternoon also includes designing lesson plans to meet the needs of individual participants. This is a full day of coding, collaboration, creativity, and fun! This workshop is offered in both BYOD and MITI formats. The registration fee for the MITI format includes the cost of the workshop AND the device/resources. The BYOD format includes only the cost of the workshop, the attendee is solely responsible for securing the required resources listed on the website.
Equipment needed: MITI workshop includes a Hummingbird Robotics kit. The specific model and accessories included will be posted in early October on the conference website at All participants are requested to bring either a laptop computer or Chromebook. BYOD registration fee requires that you bring your own drone as specified on the website.
