To grow as writers, students need to be motivated to write. Through blogging, student writers are motivated to write when they are given a choice about what to write as well as feedback from an authentic audience. Learn why your students should blog as you hear about eleven years of student blogging teaching experience as well as the results of a qualitative case study conducted in a New Hampshire fifth grade classroom. Participants learn about various blogging platforms, digital portfolios, student safety, anecdotal stories, as well as other tips on how to successfully facilitate blogging in your classroom.
